Building a platform, to help consumers manage and track a wide variety of statistics across all their IoT devices.
We worked with a Mumbai-based multinational energy company (name redacted due to NDA) on a sophisticated cloud app that helps their customers collect and analyze data from all their devices. I was involved in building an app and a customer management platform.
Creating Dashboards
We designed two unique dashboards one widget-based that can be tweaked by the customer based on his/her requirement and another for the client to manage its inventory and provide support to their customers.
Individual device reports and comparisons
Since the platform could be used by managers at big factories to organize huge cohorts of devices or a single farm owner to add just a couple, we made sure all data points were accessible without being overwhelming. To make it easier to derive insights, we also provided the ability to compare reports.
Connecting devices
We simplified the cumbersome process of connecting devices with a simple click-and-drag editor. It helped the user to connect, disconnect and organize all their devices in just a few clicks and view all of them in a single bird-eye view.
Creating a component system
To maintain consistency across the product, we broke down everything into reusable blocks that helped us to test and iterate faster.
A native mobile experience
Clients might not always be at a short distance from their desk so we designed a mobile app to stay up to date with your devices while on the go.
A Simple Style Guide
Due to time constraints for this project, we couldn’t build out a detailed design system. So we did the next best thing: we made a style guide. It not only catalyzed speedy development but also would be a starting point for a design system if needed in the future.
